Summary: Deceptive Title
Comment: One would expect that a book titled Argentina A Short History would be a short history of Argentina. OK, the description says the writer is an economist, so I expected, and wanted, some economic analysis. But as a history, the book is useless. Rather than a narrative, the book jumps from decade to decade and century to century without any apparent plan or logic. Since I did not read the entire book, I cannot review it for what it actually is, an economic analysis. If that is what you are looking for perhaps the book is for you. Just be aware, the title should be The Argentine Economy, an analysis for specialists in South American history and economics.
