Comment: As once said Elis Regina: "If God were to sing it would be with the voice of Milton Nascimento".

Picture this: Lo Borges, Boca Livre, Elis Regina, Chico Buarque, Beto Guedes, Toninho Horta, Flavio Venturine, Jacques Morelenbaum, Francis and Olivia Hime, Wagner Tizo, and, of course, Milton Nascimento toghether creating probably the best ever Brazilan music CD.

Summary: Buy this record now. Don't argue with me
Comment: If you've gotten this far, you're probably something of a Milton fan. If you are, and you don't have this recording, buy it now. If you aren't ... what the heck, buy it anyway. This for me is Milton's finest work. When it was (briefly) reissued by an American company a couple of years ago--I think it was World Pacific?--the company advertised it and its predecessor, the first Clube da Esquina, as two of the greatest records ever made anywhere by anybody. For me this is true. It's up there in my personal pantheon with Pet Sounds, Kind of Blue, The Band, and a handful of others. So I recommend it as highly as I can. Not everyone will like it. That's OK; I doubt there's ever been a piece of art that everyone likes. But for some of you reading this, this recording will be a revelation. Listen to it all the way through a couple of times, and be blown away by the songwriting, the playing, the burgeoning creativity, the musical ambition, and most of all THAT VOICE. Enjoy.
