Summary: A great purchase
Comment: This DVD is simply amazing. I have recently been to a Djavan's show and was looking for a DVD that would bring something of what I saw in the show to my house whenever I wanted. I found it! This DVD brings all his great hits such as Se, Oceano, Nem um dia, Samurai, Acai, Flor de Liz, Eu te devoro, Boa noite... among others. Djavan's performance is fenomenal and so is the quality of sound. This DVD brings the greatness of Djavan. He is simply a master of singing. You are not going to regret buying this product. I watch it at least once a week and never get tired of it.

The sound though.... "IS AWESOME", especially if you have a great sound system.
I've been a long time fan of Djavan for over 20 years, this is a KILLER CONCERT DVD. He's been often referred to as the
"Stevie Wonder of Brasil"...... perhaps so as far as popularity and being dearly loved by masses not just in Brasil, but around the world..... however Djavan IS UNIQUE unto himself.

Summary: an unexpected find
Comment: I came upon the music of Djavan looking for a misplaced CD in the library where I work. I found it, checked it out, and was entranced by his music. I do wish I could understand Portuguese, but, no matter, the music transcends language.
So, I then decided to purchase this dvd...I don't buy much, since I only want to own what I will watch again and again. This meets my criteria! The music is lyric, the artist engaging (you can see that in his relationship with his audiences).
I must qualify this review by saying that I am not at all qualified to evaluate jazz, or music videos. Having said that, I think that this is one of the best purchases I have ever made.
The artist is incredibly talented, the music wonderful and beautiful in any language. If you want talent, beautiful music, and a great listen, this is a worthwhile choice!

Summary: GREAT DVD!
Comment: I had the opportunity to see Djavan in the North Sea Jazz festival a couple of years ago and his performance was excellent.
This DVD captures another great performance by one of the greastest Brazilian musicians of his time. The sound quality of this DVD is great and the added bonus videos are a great feature. I recommend this DVD to any one who appreciates great music.
